Reading all my writings from over the years is like speaking to myself from the past.
I’m understanding even better NOW what I meant back then. Experience and wisdom..
Its like having a relationship with myself. A pen pal in a way.
There are some things I wrote that I saw at the time as incomplete thoughts, or I just had no idea what I was even talking about. Now I’ve found some old notes, and suddenly I understand what I was saying. I didn’t have the experience yet to know what that phrase meant or that idea, etc..
It’s teaching myself in ways, and coming back later.
I always thought I had too many incomplete thoughts in my keep notes, in my docs, in boxes of notebooks, but they were just me getting all my ideas that would get their cohesion later, or would become the basis for something else, or would be a conclusion, etc…all from thoughts I’ve written/recorded/noted down over the years.
Or when it was books and put tabs on the parts that I feel are noteworthy, reminders, etc…they mean something to me when I first read the book, and sometimes it seems I never get around to writing my notes from those tabs of what I learned in and info I wanted to keep from that book/those books.
Now I come back to my tabs and realize, that old me was connecting to the words back then, but now apply even more, and mean more to me now that I’ve had the impulse to revisit, or do something without overthinking, just DOING.
