There is no tomorrow

A while ago, I had a couple days of feeling intense types of ways. Anything and everything I was trying to do was just not working out.

Obstacle, inconvenience, and challenge after infuriating challenge—with seemingly no way else that things could possibly get resolved.

As I was taking a walk and fuming about my problems, I saw this sentence carved into the sidewalk.

I thought it seemed like it was intended to be ominous, but with how shitty I was feeling that day, I read it and thought: damn I don’t think I can actually feel worse at this moment. And so it was actually encouraging to read, because if there is no tomorrow, that means the problems I have right now don’t even matter.

So I guess, this moment (at any moment) how I’m currently feeling it, is perfect. I don’t need to worry if I’m not even guaranteed that I’ll be here tomorrow. All my problems are solved.

Now if I can constantly remember that, I won’t fall into pits of despair every now and then when absolutely nothing seems to go my way.
